The site started with a simple observation: most everyday questions need a short, accurate answer, not a 3,000-word essay. A mortgage payment, a week of meals, a merged PDF or the basics of how AI works are all things people need to get done.

So simplytools.us combines two things: plain-English explainers and tools that actually work. The tools are free to use, need no sign-up, and are built to keep your data on your device wherever possible.

What we believe

• Fast beats fancy. Pages should load quickly and tools should respond immediately.
• Privacy is a feature. PDFs are processed in the browser. Meal plans are stored locally. We do not need your documents.
• Honesty about limits. Estimates are labeled as estimates. Important decisions deserve a qualified professional.
• No dark patterns. No forced newsletters, fake countdowns or confusing cancellation flows.

Editorial approach

Explainers are written for a general audience and reviewed for clarity. We cite sources where claims are specific, show update dates, and avoid pretending that complex topics have simple certainties. If you spot an error, please tell us.
