Who we are

simplytools.us operates the website at simplytools.us. For privacy questions, email hello@simplytools.us.

Information we collect

  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider may record standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp for security and reliability. These logs are kept for a short period.
  • Local browser storage. Your meal plan, grocery ticks and theme preference are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. This data is not sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.
  • PDFs and images. The PDF maker processes files entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded to simplytools.us or any third party.

What we do not do

  • We do not require an account or collect names, addresses or payment details.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We do not upload your PDFs, images or meal plans to a server.

Cookies

simplytools.us does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Your theme choice is stored in local storage rather than a cookie. Third-party services used to host or secure the site may set strictly necessary cookies.

Legal bases

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests for running and securing the site. If you live in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights, as described under "Your rights" below.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the site, such as hosting infrastructure. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site from abuse.

Retention

Local meal plans remain on your device until you clear them. Short-lived technical logs are retained only for security and reliability.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or complain to a regulator. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children

simplytools.us is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit personal information about a child.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
