Utilities · Randomness
Pick a number without picking a favourite.
Generate cryptographically random integers or decimals, with optional unique values and one-click copy.
Range and rules
Uses the browser's cryptographic random source.
Every value in the range is equally likely. Cryptographic randomness does not make a number predictable or lucky.
Good to know
The result is a guide, not a guarantee.
This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Check the assumptions, keep the inputs realistic, and use the result as a starting point for a decision.
Suitable for everyday picks and sampling. Not certified for regulated lotteries or gambling.
Is the random source secure?
Yes. It uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues source rather than Math.random. That makes it suitable for games, sampling and simple picks, but it is not a certified lottery or gambling system.
Can I generate unique numbers?
Yes. Turn on no duplicate values. There must be enough whole-number possibilities in the range to fill the requested count.
How do decimals work?
Choose 0–4 decimal places. The value is generated inside the range and rounded to that precision, so the minimum and maximum can appear.
Are the results saved anywhere?
No. Results exist only in the page until you copy or refresh. Nothing is sent to simplytools.us.
