PDF and output
Render pages to JPG locally, with no upload.
Up to 100 MB. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
Use ranges like 1-3, 5.
Page images
Rendered JPEGs have a white background. Higher resolution creates larger files and uses more memory.
Good to know
The result is a guide, not a guarantee.
This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Check the assumptions, keep the inputs realistic, and use the result as a starting point for a decision.
Local rendering only. Password-protected PDFs are not supported, and scanned pages are not OCR'd.
Are my PDF pages uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and rendered to canvas in your browser using PDF.js. The file never leaves your device.
How do I choose pages?
Enter pages or ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. Leave the field blank or enter all to render every page. Up to 100 pages can be converted at once.
Which resolution should I use?
1× is fine for screen previews, 2× is a good default for sharing, and 3× is sharper but creates much larger files. Higher resolution also uses more memory.
Why does a PDF fail to open?
Password-protected, damaged or unusually large PDFs may not load. Remove the password in a trusted PDF app first, then try again.
Can I convert scanned text back into text?
No. This tool produces images, not OCR. A scanned page becomes a JPG picture of the page, not selectable text.
