Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF is read with PDF.js in your browser, the text is extracted locally, and the Word file is built on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
No. This is a text-only conversion. It preserves words, line breaks and page breaks, but not images, columns, tables, form fields, fonts or the original layout.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
Not by itself. A scanned PDF is a picture of a page, so there is no selectable text to extract. Run OCR first, then convert the OCR'd PDF.
How large can the PDF be?
Up to 100 MB and 100 pages. Very large or complex PDFs may use a lot of memory in the browser.
Why does a PDF fail to open?
Password-protected, damaged or unusually structured PDFs may not load. Remove the password in a trusted PDF app first, then try again.
