Good to know

The result is a guide, not a guarantee.

This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Check the assumptions, keep the inputs realistic, and use the result as a starting point for a decision.

Gross pay only. Tax, benefits and deductions are not included. US pay-period conventions.

Is this take-home pay?

No. Every figure is gross pay before federal and state income tax, Social Security, Medicare, retirement contributions and other deductions. Take-home pay is lower.

Why do biweekly and semi-monthly differ?

Biweekly pay is every two weeks, usually 26 paychecks a year. Semi-monthly pay is twice a month, usually 24 paychecks. The annual total can differ slightly depending on the calendar.

How are hourly and annual pay converted?

The calculator multiplies hourly pay by hours per week and paid weeks per year. Change those two fields for part-time work, overtime assumptions or unpaid leave.

Does unpaid leave change the result?

Yes. Reduce paid weeks per year to reflect unpaid time off. The default uses 52 weeks, which assumes paid leave or work every week.
